Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships

The School of Arts and Humanities at King零 College London has been allocated funds to support a limited number of Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships, which are 50% funded by the Leverhume Trust. The Department of Music now invites expressions of interest from potential applicants.

The Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship Scheme, which is open to young researchers who have completed, or are about to complete, a PhD at a UK university but who have not yet held a full time academic post in the UK, aims to provide them with the opportunity to establish an academic career by undertaking a significant piece of research at a UK university. Please note that the normal tenure of these Fellowships is two years, and that any application for three-year tenure requires special justification. Appointments will be made in at grade 6, normally within the first three points on the scale: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/about/structure/admin/pertra/internal/scales/

Prospective applicants in Musicology (including Ethnomusicology) or Composition should first contact the Head of Department, Professor John Deathridge john.deathridge (at) kcl.ac.uk . Only applications which have Departmental and School support will be submitted to the Leverhulme Trust. The internal deadline for applications is 4pm on
Friday 19 February.
